 When I was younger I didn't really appreciate the phrase "life is a journey not a destination". The journey was boring and I just wanted to get to where ever I was going as quickly as possible. But, now that I know I am headed in the right direction, I find that the journey is just as much fun as the destination, sometimes more so.
The journey is an exploration of whatever there is on the way. And I am speaking metaphorically and physically. The journey can be a spiritual acknowledgment, a learning or an actual trip to another place. Either way there is much to see and learn on the way!
